The Preacher

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."

John 5:24

He who hears - but how shall they hear without a preacher?

(Romans 10:14)

Is your heart burdened for the lost? If you are a new creation in Christ, you are a new preacher for Christ. Do you ever cry out in prayer for those who are still in their sins and in a moment of time could be snatched by death and damned in hell? These are not pleasant thoughts, but they are thoughts that every Christian should have.

God is trusting you to be His ambassador. He is calling you to share the truth of the gospel so those who hear His Word and believe in Him will have everlasting life. The moment we repent and trust alone in Jesus, we will pass from death to life.

May God open our eyes to the important task He has set before us.

Meditation:

Do I see myself as a preacher (ambassador), or do I leave that to the "professionals?" Ask God to show you that being an Ambassador for Christ is simply sharing what you know regardless if you are a professional or not.

Father God, please use my words today to bring the message of everlasting life to some dying sinner.
